IGF-1 LR3 is an 83-amino-acid analog of insulin-like growth factor-1 with an arginine substitution at position 3 and a 13-residue N-terminal extension, which reduces binding to IGF-binding proteins.
It is used in vitro in IGF-1 receptor binding assays and in PI3K/Akt and MAPK signaling assays in cultured cell lines.
