ARA-290 is a linear 11-residue peptide modeled on helix B of erythropoietin, with an N-terminal pyroglutamate. It was designed to engage the EPOR/CD131 (β-common receptor) heteromer without binding the classical EPO receptor homodimer.
In published cell-culture work it is used in receptor-binding comparisons with full-length EPO and in cytokine-signaling readouts.
